Otherwise known as Baltimore. We call it Charm City because Murder Central doesn't really bring in the tourists!
I shoot with an a200, and am really only now getting in to the world of DSLR, though I had been hobby photog'ing with the relatively nice P&S Canon Powershot S3 IS for awhile.

I was going to tell you a long boring story about my experience with the S3 IS, but I'll just tell you welcome to the forum instead. Welcome! We're glad to have you!

I have no problem with long boring stories. I tend to tell them myself.KevinBarrett wrote:I was going to tell you a long boring story about my experience with the S3 IS, but I'll just tell you welcome to the forum instead. Welcome! We're glad to have you!

You asked for it!BartRaeke wrote:I have no problem with long boring stories. I tend to tell them myself.
Back before I knew anything about cameras, I bought an S3 IS for my then girlfriend. This spring, however, when I was getting married to that lovely lady, and contemplating the purchase of an a200 to continue my very tiny Minolta kit, my brother up and got me an a700 for my wedding present! Giving cameras runs in my family it seems.
It's amazing how much I was able to learn just with using that little powershot, though. The lens has since lost alignment, though, so my wife and I are a one camera family again.
