I'm French living in Shanghai.
I started photography long time ago with a Dynax 7000i, 7xi & 9xi. Then moved to Canon land.
450d 17-55/2.8IS 28/1.8 50/1.4 85/1.8
I now think of buying a a900 & Zeiss lenses.

Dr. Harout: Impressive to see someone from Yerevan here :D
I went there a long time ago for a business trip. No time for sightseeing but I took that shot of Mt Ararat from my hotel with a mju-2 pocket camera.

And that car war parked in front of the hotel

Update: I got a 2nd hand A700 early February, kept it for 2 months and went up to A900.
Lens range:
Minolta 35/2 (old)
Sigma 50/1.4 HSM
Minolta 50/3.5 Macro
Sony 85/1.4 ZA
Sony 135/1.8 ZA

I'm now looking for a Minolta 28/2. But I think it will take a while. In the meantime, I'll probably get a Minolta 24/2.8 (for landscapes) or Sigma 24/1.8 (for fun).
Maybe I'll also get a zoom for candid photography: Minolta 24-85/3.5-4.5 or Sigma 24-70/2.8 HSM.

B'jour youpii et bienvenue chez nous!! Your gallery is just great. Though I find the skin colours of the Canon a bit cold - It might be I am just too much used to Minolta with too strong reds. Don't take this badly, I like the pics!! We'd be most happy to see a few of your Sony & Zeiss shots, vraiment! Don't keep us waiting!

They are very good, the processing is perfect - you have pitched the skin tones just right. The Chinese girls look so very perfect, as well - and Shanghai seems to give you a wide choice of backgrounds, with everything looking good, not rough.

I guess if you put this quality of images on Flickr, and you have model releases, Getty will soon be signing you up if they do not have you on the list already.

Hi Eric,

Very enjoyable set of photos. I see that you used the Carl-Zeiss primes for these and the plots are well-selected too.

Thanks for sharing,
Yildiz

Thanks for the comments :)

Shanghai is a big city, so there are plenty of places to use.
My photoclub is very active, so I always discover new places and meet new models.

I'm new on flickr, nothing from Getty yet

For Photoshop & Lightroom, I advise to watch the video trainings from Lynda.com: Photoshop fundamentals, Portrait retouching & Photographers Creative Effects. They are totally worth the investment.
