Hi everyone,
Seems nice here.
Recently bought an Alpha 300. Long time Canon film user. Not regretting the switch so far!

Re: Hello
You'll love the colours. I guess that is the main difference. I just took our daughter's 400D kit off her and swapped it for an A350 kit, because we need to have a Canon around for test purposes. The Canon digital colours are much colder and somehow 'flat', so they need a lot of adjustment and custom settings. The Alpha colours are more film-like 'out of the box', so moving from film to Alpha is easy. You have skipped the 'digital look' thing entirely!

Re: Hello
I pay a lot of attention on camera handling. Someone has to feel that there's a camera in his/her hand and not just a tool. Frankly, I never felt Canon as a camera. Nikon is good, Pentax too... but definitely not Canon. It does not sit well in my hands.
Anyway, welcome to the forum.
