Hello!
I didn't notice this part of the forum before my first post so here I am. I'm 33, I'm french and I started taking pictures with my father's Yashica SLR and then in the beginning of the digital photography with a HP compact (huge with a tiny screen, one focal length and no memory card ), a Sony P100 and then I became more concerned about the quality of my pictures when I bought the exotic R1. Now my equipment is an Alpha700 with few lenses (CZ16-80, sony 50mm1.4, sony 70-300G and Tamron 90mm2.8
I'm here to discuss, to learn and also to share some pictures.
A bientôt!

Re: Hello from France
Welcome to the forum!
Back in the early 1970s when I first started thinking about getting an SLR I almost got a Yashica because a buddy had one. I ended up getting the Mamiya/Sekor 1000 DTL.
The A700 is a wonderful camera. I got mine over a year ago and out of the 5 DSLRs I have owned it is the best.
Feel free to post some of your photos!

Re: Hello from France
Now we know you are in France. That's one step closer to discovering where this 100mm f/2 is before you put the money down!
Welcome!

Perhaps the 100 f/2 lens is not french, I live so close to the german and swiss borders....

Welcome Ghor!
You made quite an entrance with that lens of yours... And hopefully you'll enjoy your stay here.
