Hello from Portugal

Unread post by PedroDuarte »

Hello to all!
My name is Pedro and i'm in Portugal.
I'm 27 years old and i am a Interface & User Experience Designer.

I love photography but only recently i've managed to replace my old and damaged Nikon D70 with a Sony A550.

Along with the A550 i got a 16-80 CZ, 100-200 Minolta, Sony 50mm f1.4 and a Minolta 24mm f2.8.

I'm very happy with my bought. A step up from my D70 for sure :)

I really hope to enjoy my stay here and to give the best of me to the community :)

Thank you all
Pedro

Hi, Pedro and welcome to this wonderful forum.
Like me, you changed the system from Nikon to Alpha, and that probably is a wise choice
Nice lenses you acquired, BTW. :D

A big hello to Pedro from me as well. I'm sure we all look forward to your contributions, especially pictures :D .

I have visited Portugal for the first time this year. I had several business trips to Lisbon, and this gave me a few chances to see some of the countryside as well. I visited Torres Vedras to see the lines where the Portuguese and English fought the French in 1810, a long time ambition of mine. I fondly remember the marvellous Portuguese cakes and pastries from my vists, and of course the amazing weather and blue skies.
Nex 5, Nex 6 (IR), A7M2, A99 and a bunch of lenses.

Thank you all for the warm welcome! :)
It's good to know you were in Torres Vedras. I was born there, but i live in a small fishing town called Ericeira. It's on the west cost ( 20km from Torres Vedras ), just by the sea.
It will be a pleasure to share photos of Portugal with you guys :)

Just for starters, here are 3 photos of where i live. It's a good place to live because, it mixes the ocean with the mountains an a natural protected forest ( in a historical village called Mafra )

I would be very pleased to welcome anyone coming to Portugal :) I really hope i can meet someone in Portugal or, if there's the opportunity, in the US during 2010 :)

Bem vindo, amigo. Nunça estava in Portugal, mas gustaria visitar.

Okay, I'm rusty it's been a few years since I lived in Brasil.

If you visit the US, you're always welcome to stop by St. Louis and visit. I need the language practice.

Tchau,
Dusty

Ehehe thanks Dusty :)

You will notice some differences between the mainland Portuguese and Brazilian Portuguese.

Portuguese ( from Portugal ) language it's more, how can i say, exquisite . ehehhee, it's harder to learn but i can "adapt" the Brazilian accent and grammar ;)

For sure, if i go to US next year, i want to meet some of you guys! :)

Hi Pedro,

The first of the valley is magnificent. Love it. And the second monochrome is a nice one that I would of hung on my wall...

Thanks for sharing your historical / well-preserved vicinity and land.
