Hello from Fogo Island, Newfoundland!!

Unread post by camperbc »

Just want to say Hi to everyone; I recently discovered this forum and am looking to become an active contributing member. I retired early due to a permanent spinal injury, but I am still able to get out and about with my Sony cameras on good days. I love to shoot landscapes, and you can see my work at http://www.focusonnewfoundland.com
Fogo Island is a remote and very beautiful 250 sq/km island located off the northeast coast of Newfoundland. It is home to about 2,700 residents, and 500 caribou!. As you can (hopefully) tell from my pictures, the scenery is spectacular, to say the least.
The three images below were taken from my shoreline.

Glad you discovered us so now, through you, we can all discover Fogo Island via the internet; I particularly like the first shot this page although personally I would have underexposed a stop or two I think.

Ewannawe, yes the panorama may appear a bit overexposed on this forum, but I have it printed out and framed on my living room wall in a 30 inch size, and it looks terrific. Not sure why it appears a bit too light on the screen.
Thanks,
Glen
