You need a decent lens hood, Anne... or a really good lens.
Did you notice the flare at the bottom of your shot?
This is not the flare of a55, but of the kit lens.

You are right, I have forgotten my lens hood at home.
And I hope that in the near future I will have good lens.
I also noticed that flare, but didn't crop it on purpose. So that I will learn a lot from mistakes
