Hi,
Just making my first post on this forum.
I came here via the alphamountworld site as I'm considering in buying a new A-350
and wanted some real world opinions about it... not just magazine articles ( which I have read by the way...leading me to consider 'outside' of the 'usual suspects' to consider for a DSLR... )which I got !
These have all been good and I was directed here to photoclubalpha....more info & helpfull suggestions...not that I understand all the technical terms yet, I'm a relative newbie to DSLR,
now its time to move up from my F**i FinePix S602Zoom and my N*k*n F55 35mm film slr.
Next point is about the std. kit/stock lens that comes bundled with a 350.
Is it any good ? If not, what should I go for...providing I can afford it !
Maybe better to buy a body only and invest in better optics ? Not just Sony but Sigma, Tamron and others.
If so, what is recommended that won't break the bank ?
Lastly any other options worth getting...spare battery, remote release...etc
Sorry to go on for such lenght but I'm sure I've come to the right place for good, honest unbiased advice & opinions.
Many Thanks.

Kit lens isn't as bad as some make out. I don't utilise it a great deal, but have no complaints about it when it does get used.

I agree with Carlj. The kit lens 18-70 is a decent lens and a good one for a start.

Re: Hello from a new user & new owner!
Hi,
Just thought I'd let you all know I've gone and bought a 350 !
Went to Park cameras and got the 'kit' with a 2GB San Disk CF card for £449.99 .
Now it's time to play & learn
I'll let you know how I get on when I can......
might be sometime as next week I'm relocating because of a new job and won't have internet access sorted quickly.
