Happy Hogmanay!

Since I have to demonstrate to Armen what sort of (wrong!) sound I am getting from the Armenian duduk Dr Harout purchased locally on my behalf, here is something for midnight:

'Auld Lang Syne' played on duduk, with a few alterations to allow for the duduk scale and range not being quite right for the high notes (you can't overblow a duduk, it would like expecting the A900 to do 25,600 ISO).
All the best for 2009! I'm off soon to the pub, to join a friend who's got the Hogmanay music gig and needs some help, four hours is a long stretch for one man with a guitar. Might just take the D3X and 50mm f/1.4 AF-S with me. NB: Nikon's new standard f/1.4 is made in China, sonic focus motor, and it's a real cracker - this is what Sony should be making to replace the existing 50mm f/1.4, although that is by no means bad.
