I got bored and went for a bit of a wander looking for a golden oldie or two...I also found a couple of decent tracks (some were not recorded very well) of 'Hot August Night'...don't have the links handy tho...

We like to play oldies on the psych unit sometimes... the kids love it and it gets them in the mood to clean the place, oddly enough. Anyway, I took your advice and cranked it up.

One Saturday night in Phoenix I won the lip-sync contest at Ed Devebic's restaurant ( 1980's, pre-karaoke days) doing "Hot August Night." I was about to be 'gonged' off the stage by a couple of guys that didn't like it when their wives/girlfriends jumped up on stage and became my back-up dancers. everyone else seemed to like it and I won the "Eat at Ed's" shirt that night. Still have it but it no longer fits me. I'm sure it shrunk!
