Always a good read, though nothing really surprising this year.

Sony on the rise, A700 successor(s), few lenses and an EVIL with large sensor.

The A 950/ A 1000/ A1 ( Photokina ? ) is missing. A 32 - 36 MP substitute for high end FF and much of the MF market for perhaps the price of a Nikon D3 is rather too much.

I would think that as Thom has derived his income from selling Nikon manuals for 20 + years, he can't bring himself to really acknowledge Sony as it potentially challenges Nikon's financial viability. He is critical enough of Nikon's administration without having to add Sony to the equation.

My prediction for 2010:

I will continue to enjoy my a700 with the smug satisfaction that I got the best camera Sony offered before they squandered the Minolta legacy on plastic entry-level gadgetry. :)
