New Forum Request...

Not really sure where to put this one, so it ends up here.
I'm on another site that has a forum that is dedicated to "photo a day". Basically someone starts a new thread everyday and everyone posts 1 pic that they shot that day. I must say, it's been really fun trying to get out everyday to shoot SOMETHING.
Would it be possible so set something like that up here, maybe in the photo discussion section?
Just a suggestion.

Wouldn't it be more practical if they were shot yesterday? I usually process photos the next day.

How it works is that you can post in that thread whenever you want, even 6 months or a year later. The point is a pic from that day.
However folks want to do it, it's a lot of fun. One person there posts a different pic of their cat(s) everyday. I try to get something as different as I can.

I'll certainly consider it. But if we do it, I think it must be 'of the day' and not 'off the card I just decided to take out of the camera after a month'.

I think thats the intention Dave. If I took a photo today, it should be posted under 3 Dec 2009. I might post it a day or two from now, but it was a record of that day. The thread titiles would simple be 3 Dec 2009 - Thursday, 4 Dec 2009 - Friday, etc. I've never seen folks post anything older than 2,3,4 days....

I sometimes send daily photos Lonnie!
And I know it's fun and rather challenging time and occupationwise.
I think it's a nice thought.

I really like the idea, especially because if it catches on it will provide a very interesting historical record of "a day" in the history of Photoclubalpha. It would be great to be able to go back to a date a couple of years ago and view a slide show of what everyone was taking pictures of that day (and with what?).
Would this be restricted to Alpha-mount pictures only?

And that should go with a rule:do not submit pictures you have taken outside before midnight.
