That finds it a bit odd someone can win the Nobel peace prize, yet has done nothing to justify this award?

Nobody would doubt some of the previous winners, Mandela, Luther King etc, but I am starting to think this "Obama mania" has got out of control. These previous winners, actually "did something" in reality to help make peace. I read the comittee awarded it on the "presumption" that Obama will promote world peace, and deliver (this is before the extra 30,000 troops to Afghanistan came out) I won't get into this too much, let's just say I don't find war very peaceful myself!

In light of this "presumption" thinking, I am awarding myself the "Grand Master Gold Medal" Photographer of the universe award, on the presumption I will make the grade at some point in the future

We live in a strange world, now if only I was as good with a microphone..because results don't seem to count, talking does lol

Baz you're not the only one, me too, it's just that I think most people aren't surprised with inverse logic anymore, I think it happened just around the turn of the millennium, that common sense went to hell in a handbasket, and it hasn't come back....

No, you're not the only one. The NPP has now become a politically correct thing, unattached from reality.

Perhaps some day it will go back to awarding people for what they have actually done, but I doubt it. From now on it's winners will always be suspect.

This is a great disappointment by the Nobel Foundation, in response to which, I am auctioning my own Nobel prize medal on ebay this afternoon.

Oh yeah, dang! I completely forgot to congratulate Barry on his award, ("Grand Master Gold Medal" Photographer of the universe award), retrospectively in advance of the actual achievements...a minor detail really, it's vindication of the assured potential reality of the much deserved award that matters.
