Wildlife Photgrapher of the Year disqualified

Quite shocked when I saw this story today but also remembered that I was amazed at the photograph when I first saw it and had my own doubts, the picture looked
too good.

Tame wolf or not it's a fantastic shot, and there is no proof as yet that it was a 'staged' shot. What happened to the element of doubt, the photographer swears it was not staged.

I never cease to be amazed by the patience and dedication of wildlife photographers and film makers. I don't know if this is normal behaviour for a wolf so can't comment but it seems incredibly unlikely you would get such a shot.

Ah, that second link you provide seems to provide some pretty damning evidence.

At least he didn't photoshop the wolf in, so I'll give him credit for that at least
It is a nice shot, but obviously if it is staged, then that kinda kills it, esp as the rules say it's a no no.
