Alexander W. "Sandy" Furniss, MPSA Receives Prestigious PSA Distinction

The Photographic Society of America (PSA) is pleased to announce that Alexander W. "Sandy" Furniss, MPSA, member of Photoworld Club UK/Photoclubalpha, has received the Master Distinction (MPSA) in recognition of his photographic achievement record in PSA recognized International Exhibitions of photography. The Master Distinction designation was just added to PSA's distinctions in 2011 when PSA expanded the Recognition of Photographic Achievement program. To qualify for the Master Distinction, 1500 or more acceptances are required. Presentation of the award Plaque will be made in September at the 2011 PSA International Conference in Colorado Springs, Colorado, USA.

Maybe a Google search will point him to this forum... he lives at Stokesley, near Middlesbrough, if any UK member might have come across him. He has not given me an email address so I can't alert him directly to the mention here.

Hi David,

Sandy Furniss is a member of Northallerton Camera Club, his distinction award is also mentioned on the NCPF web-site. Co-incidentally he is coming to give a talk to our camera club (Cramlington) in the new year.
