Happy Veterans Day

Unread post by Dusty »

Here in the U.S. it's Veteran's Day, where we honor those who served their county.

As a vet, I'd like to extend a warm Thank You to all who have defended freedom in any land.

Me too Dusty. We know it as Armistice Day in the UK and then Remberance Sunday on the Sunday following when there will be special church services and more parades.

Yes, as long as someone defends his freedom on his own land... and not pretending to defend freedom on any land and making profit out of it

November 11 was also called Armistice Day in the United States between the end of World War I and (I believe) the middle 1950s. The name was then changed to Veterans Day to honor not only those who had died in WWI, but also those who had died in World War II, and all other wars in which the US had been involved.

With best wishes,
