Germany trip

Hi Folks
I'm headed to Germany for a week or so in April (Bremen) and was wondering if anyone could point out a solution that's inexpensive to get a data connection r a smartphone while I'm there? I've heard that they have services you can sign up for and use for a week or a few days at a time just for this purpose.
I'd like to be able to transfer my photos home and have access to my communication while there and away from wifi...
