Live From Ferguson, MO

As some of you know, I'm in Ferguson, Mo, and only 4 blocks from previous looting.

The decision has been made, and is supposed to be announced tonight, 5:30 Central Time.

I may be able to post pics of events, but the wife and kids are being sent to safe havens, and I'll have something besides my Sony's to do shooting with, if need be. The neighbors and I who are sticking around will protect our neighborhood.

I'm sure you'll all be able to see it on CNN, etc!

Now @ 2 1/2 hrs after the announcement of no indictment. At least 2 police cars, and several buildings on fire.

Looters are everywhere, liquor stores, pizza places, drug stores, toy stores, Walmart, etc. Police under fire from criminals while responding to fires.

Even journalists are being attacked, and having to be retrieved by security teams. Not leaving the house tonight (wife and kids are safely away) to see what's going on elsewhere, as I don't want to be out unarmed, and don't want to be going armed to areas where there are problems.

We are close to areas being looted, but it hasn't gotten down to my block yet.

Cars being flipped over, bricks, bottles and molotov cocktails thrown.

12:45 am. My city burns to the ground. The Governor does not let the National Guard deploy to this area, and the Police cannot handle the situation.

A "Code 500" has gone out - all available officers from surrounding areas are requested. A neighboring Police Department is on fire, 3 blocks from my home. Reports of a gang hauling gas cans up the street 2 blocks over.

We will have nothing left by morning. The animals are in control. My Mayor is blathering live on the TV about how 'we're resilient'. He should be calling for bombing runs on the looters.

It was 8pm local time. The wanted to do it at 5;30, but the schools told them that not everyone got the message about after-school events being canceled, and wanted them all home safe first.

Some Photos. Got up this morning and did a radio interview, then went down to help clean up on S. Florissant. Then tried to get to W. Florissant, but that rd is still closed. Did snap a few while sitting at a cross-street light.

It's expected to get worse tonight, as the hoodlums see that the police can't stop them.
