D5 problem

Unread post by harry7mc »

having problems loading a card. I cannot shut the camera back when i put a card into the slot. The removal button refuses to sit down & thus keeps ejecting the card so the flap willnot shut.
Anyone else had this problem

Can you see if a pin is bent in the camera? Of course you've checked you're putting it in the right way around :)

Double-press the removal button before putting the card in. This is a common problem. If you push the button right home before inserting the card, it will only come back out a little way, and you can push it slightly back again. If you don't push the button back in before inserting the card, it stays stuck out and tries to eject the card.

The Alpha 100 cured this problem with a new eject mechanism.
