Any way to make this fit an Alpha mount, I see they have 2 different mounts but don't know of any converters?

Re: Voigtlander
Why do you want to use this lens instead of a Minolta 20/2.8 ?
Re: Voigtlander
I recently read a very encouraging review on it, and it was being tested alongside a Zeiss lens.

Re: Voigtlander
In my own experience, the Minolta 20 f2.8 is, alas, a not really good performer on digital. It is not better than the 17-35 f2.8-4 @ 20mmyoupii wrote:Why do you want to use this lens instead of a Minolta 20/2.8 ?
I don't know if the Sony version have any improvement. In any case, this Voigtlander pancake-like lens is an interesting alternative (if one day they make it on alpha mount)

Re: Voigtlander
I don't think there is an easy way to adapt Nikon/Pentax lenses for Sony mount.
I'm happy with the Minolta 20/2.8RS on my A900.
It's small, inexpensive, and fast-focussing.
Corners are surprisingly sharp at F/8 but I never compared to other wide angles.

Re: Voigtlander
Is the Voigtlander full frame?
I too get reasonable results from my Minolta 20mm on A900. it's not in the same class as the 28mm f2.0 (which seems outstanding to me), but extreme wide-angles , particularly on SLR cameras, are pushing technology to its limit, and presumably optical compromises have to be made. Maybe EVIL cameras can overcome this, to some extent.

Re: Voigtlander
I had the 20mm 2.8 and now I'm with the 20mm 2.8 RS on my A900, and strangely for me I sold the 17-35mm 2.8-4.0 and decided to keep the 20mm.
On the A900, the 20mm 2.8 RS looks really good for me, I remember some people told me that I should I got a good example ...
If the 20mm 2.8 was that wrong ... I don't think Sony will have re-branded it and continue to sold it at this price. Or probably I'm wrong there ...
Regards,
Frank
