maximum length of SAL-70-400G

Unread post by DrKaushik »

May I know what would be the maximum length of SAL-70400G when zoomed to 400mm ? This lens is the only option for me as hobby wild life shooter. May I know if the 70 to 85mm focal length of this lens with F/4 could be suitable for panoramic scenes such as landscapes ? I look forward to my long long association with this lens to use it on board in a boat in the only swamp tiger reserve.....THE SUNDERBAN !

I can't tell you as I did not measure or check the one I used, and at photokina they were firmly locked into cabinets as prototypes.

They are considering changing the colour to match the other cream-white Apo lenses, because the Tele Converters won't match it in the silver-white colour.

Maybe its to soon to judge, but the looks of the lens are not my favorite.
If the lens performes as well as promised, lets say in accordance with the 70-300G, then I'll order one!
I can't wait to read some reviews.
