Anyone aware of filter caused vignetting on the 18-250 lens?
I'm looking to purchase along with a polariser so wanted to know if I need to consider the thin mount filters.

Also any recommendations on a reasonable quality polariser for it.
In my film days I just had a cheapo version on my wide zoom.
I've seen a standard Hoya for £50 through B+W S03 for £60 and MRC version for £75.

Advice welcomed.

Shirley has Rodesntock 62mm on her 18-250. We have the same on the 16-105mm but that lens (nearly new) will be sold now I have the A900. We bought three or four Rodenstock 62mms when I had a Bronica camera system, when it was sold I kept the filters - they came in useful when Minolta/Sony suddenly started having 62mm thread lenses all over the place.

The current Rodenstock filters are made by Heliopan.

I managed to pick up a CZ filter from the Photostore-UK Ebay shop at a good price.
They also have LCD screen covers, batteries etc for KM and Sony so worth a look.

Photostore-UK is Adrian Paul, who started with the Minolta Club in 1981 as a teenager - he's been involved ever since. Adrian can obtain anything you want for the Sony Alpha system. He is only allowed to advertise small accessories but if you are a club member (Photoworld) he can help with ordering almost anything.

I bought the Hoya HMC, and it vignetted at 16mm. I searched the local camera stores, and found out that the Sigma EX is MUCH thinner than the Hoya. So I bought it, and voila - no vignetting. And it isn't all that much expensive too. Seems to be very good optically.
