Need a mid range lens (18-75mm)
My KM 18-200 lens is shot, so I am going to replace it with a lens in the 18-75mm range. I am looking for a good sharp lens. Any suggestions?

Re: Need a mid range lens (18-75mm)
What is the Budget? Excellent choices range from the sharp and very fast budget performer Tamron 17-50/2.8 at about $420 to the fast and very sharp Zeiss 16-80 at $700. Obviously, this is a topic discussed very frequently, so it could be worthwhile to look at some other threads. I made a poll in the "Lens Lore" forum to be of assistance.
Which zoom lens for a new APS-C user?
Tamron 17-50 f2.8 zoom.
Going Strong: Carl Zeiss 16-80mm
Given that you're replacing the 18-200, I would suggest the Sony 18-250. It is has better optics and is faster throughout its zoom range than even the Sony 16-105. If you want a wider lens than what you have may go for the Zeiss 16-80 which is in the same price range as that 14x super-zoom.
