Beercan + A900 model shoot......

Unread post by lattiboy »

There was a workshop here in Seattle for shooting models hosted by Miss Aniela from flickr. I was bored and it was free. Not really my kind of thing, but it was interesting to attend. Didn't want to haul around the Tammy 70-200mm, so I grabbed the beercan threw caution to the wind. Wow, what a lens!

I haven't seen her in the Ikea Catalog with the rest of the stuff.

Does she ship flat and need to be assembled with the wrench?

Your pictures are great, lattiboy, but the set looks more like a shoot for decorator pillows and smart Swedish furniture!

Very good picture.

Is it my Screen, but it looks like the picture need a little bit more of flash (or fill light) ? Or is the effect research before for the shooting ?

Hi all,

This was a "group shoot" so there were about 50 photogs there greedily shooting away. I would agree she wasn't terribly.... "lifelike", but she was quite nice and stood in front of a sea of lenses on her every move. Really not a huge fan of model shooting, but it was interesting to experience.

The lighting was really doggie-doo. The host of the event HEAVILY PPs her shots, so she doesn't seem to really concern herself with lighting. No strobes, just some studio lights. I didn't want to be the only guy using flash and screwing up the others. About 2/3 of the event was her using PS and CaptureOne on a projector. I could have missed that and felt okay :(
