Tamron adaptall 70-210 4.0 IF self motorized focus ...

Yesterday I got the hand on a weird thing I have only seen on sigma MD mount side and didn't know that Tamron on adaptall mount has done this too.
This is a 70-210mm F/4.0 (look almost the same size of the Beercan and having the focus ring and zoom almost at the same position) in a plastic external body with a larger part on the back where they have include a section to put 3xAAA batteries, a focus button, a AF/MF switch and a dual option : Continues focus or Single focus).
The guys was selling the lens because he told the system was not working. The lens is like brand new and I got it under 55US.
First thing I have done when I went back home, was to but good AAA batteries and tested the lens. The first attempt was that pushing the focus button nothing happens, but ... I just decided to push on the button longer and ... Surprise ! The lens become to work.
The focus is not that fast as my A900 with prime lens, but, it is comparable to the old Maxxum 7D with the 70-210mm. The lens was able to focus correctly on not to much light tungsten condition. The single and continues focus do is job. On Single shot, the lens make a confirmation sound to inform you that the focus will not change until you push the button again. The lens is working better that my Sigma 200mm 3.5 autofocus MD mount.
On the weekend I will try to find time to take some picture outside with my other Tamron Adaptall to test : 35-105 2.8 SP and 35-200 3.5-4.2 SP (this one for what I seen so fare are impressive).
I there any of you that ever had experimented this old Tamron auto focus lens ? (Probably David
