These are for sale on ebay at the moment I have been thinking about a macro lens around this focal length. Anyone know the lens and how they compare.

Glyn, I know it very well. And you've seen my shots on ping with it too! It's the revered plastic fantastic. Build quality isn't as bad as they say, but the glass is excellent.

Looking at those whiskers, and thinking about that giant hair in your lens, I just wonder where it came from and how it got there? I wake up every morning having to pick fur from my nose and teeth despite turning the sheets back to cover the pillows by day. I opened the camera cupboard yesterday and pulled out a storage box, and within seconds it was replaced by a cat claiming this new space.
