Which lens for everday use

Hi
Im torn between two leses for everyday use at the moment a Sony DT 18-250mm f/3.5-6.3 or A Tamron 18-200 f/3.5-6.3 .
does any one have any experience of the two, what would any one recommend, Camera is a Sony Alpha 500

The Sony lens is a re-badged Tamron. Somewhere here recently DK stated that the 18-250 is a better lens than the 18-200. That's not what you usually expect, usually shorter zoom ratios give better results.

If he said it recently, that the 18-250 is better than the 18-200, it's a reiteration of a conclusion he reached back in 2008. See
his article on Sony Alpha Kit Lenses.
I think, in the interim, that the Sigma 18-250 became a worthy consideration, as well.

If the dilemma is between those 2 mentioned then the Sony one is better.

Thanks guys I finally went for the Sony lens, absolutely pouring down today so will need to wait for the weekend to try it in anger!
