My 24/2 SSM can no longer focus automatically

After being used via an adapter to Nex 5, my 24/2 ZA does not focus automatically. I have not checked it up with Sony but....has any one met a similar problem before?

does the lens have a AF/MF button on the barrel? the one on my ZA 24-70 f 2.8 switch 'by itself" all the time...

I checked it. It turns to AF and the lens simply refuses to move. I can hear the shutter trigger clearly. Maybe the motor is not functioning.

Great. I cleaned the contacts using a 3M contact cleaner and the lens seems working again

Oops, this morning it does not work again. I should send it to Sony CS

Sony CS, after days of investigation, that the SSM was broken. They may have to send it back to Japan for repair
