Hi, can anyone tell me if there any difference with makes of 16-80mm Sony Alpha Carl Zeis lens, there is quite a variation in prices on Amazon.

As far as I know there is only one version of the A mount 16-80 Zeiss lens.

This is one of those lenses where I think some people just try it on!

Yup that's a good starter for prices.
When I wanted to insure my camera gear I used WEX for replacement values as their prices are not one-offs.

It is a great lens; I'm sure you will not be disappointed with the image quality.

I used mine for all my "short" images on my latest trip. Preferred it to the 28-75 on the A99 just because it had a little more range at the long end.

Might have to look at the new Tamron 28-300 for the A99 in the longer term but you couldn;t exactly describe the pairing as a travel kit! The A77 plus 16-80 is quite useable.

Yes, seems to be a great lens, just trying to figure out now, how to post some shots as the images are too big to upload. Apparently they have to be downsized to 500k

Depends what software you use.
I use Lightroom so I simply export the edited image using a setting of 1000 max pixel width and limit to 300kb, LR does the rest.
