Hi folks

Anyone heard of or know anything about this lens? I've seen one other like this but can't find anything on it.

Javelin,

A quick search found this at B&H Photo:

The Minolta 40-80mm f/2.8 Rokkor-X MC lens was a uniquely designed the zoom controls and focusing are located on the side. When focusing the lens the front element extends towards or away from the film plane and a wheel controls the focus while focal length is adjusted by the lever.

Dual threaded lens filter size 55mm Llens hood 62mm

Built in depth of field lever on lens

Hope this helps.

Dusty
An a700, an a550 and couple of a580s, plus even more lenses (Zeiss included!).
