Gatling disc camera

Unread post by bakubo »

When will we finally see the fulfillment of the digital promise?

A Gatling disc camera with lots of sensors that spins behind the lens.

Talk about frames per second! Imagine the cool whooshing sound as that disc with all those sensors is rotating like a propeller inside the camera. It could act as an internal fan too and keep things nice and cool inside. Win, win!

Some of you may remember the Kodak disc camera/film system from 1982. The disc containing 15 sensors is shown, but normally it was encased in that black plastic holder.

I wonder how many shots per second you can fire off with a Gatling disc camera? Some people love the machine gun sound of a DSLR shooting away. Just imagine the thrill they would get from shooting off a Gatling camera. Awesome!

With that amazing spinning disc inside there could even be an option to put cards in there to make the sound even more awesome! SD cards?

With that whirling propeller-like disc inside it might sound like a B-17 in flight. Now how cool is that?
