I happened to see that there are a bunch of new Minolta cameras for sale now:

22 cameras.
I don't know if some company, maybe in China, just bought the name or if Minolta really is back in the camera business.

Re: Minolta is back: new cameras
These cameras are Minolta in name only. A Chinese company bought the Minolta name and identity. The company and products are no relation to the Minolta and Konica Minolta products.. The company bought the name but not the patents. The cameras use small sensors and software-adjusted megapixels. I'll still treasure my 7D camera. I bought the new Minolta car cam I haven't installed the car cam I'm still wading through the instructions. You need to wire hard and use a second camera for some features. I'm concerned about it draining my car battery and the camera staying fixed to the car window. I had a previous Minolta car cam that broke after falling off the window for the last time. It's bad when the camera falls off while driving. The images were not that great. You can't use the camera if not plugged into the car. The camera has a small internal battery.
KM7D, Sony A350, A580, A-700, A57, A65, A5100 , a6500 , & a7iii, plus a bunch of lenses.
