New Pentax system camera

I'm not sure If I understand ... but is this new camera use special lenses who are mainly build behind the mount (so not compatible with SLR system) ?.
I always thought about this kind of system if it is the way it works for Pentax. Making lenses that fit only on the none mirror system but accept lens from mirror. The camera is slightly deeper than a NEX design, but more versatile in no need for adapter (but cannot accept good LTM lenses ...).
