I've noticed that Sony style has now listed the A300 here in Oz as well as the other two recent models, I remember there was a suggestion that the A300 was only intended for the giant US chain stores, (or it had selective distribution at least) seeing as it was not available everywhere at the same time as the A200 and A350.
Maybe they just wanted too give the A350 a solo run for a while without competition from the A300....who knows, there is only $250 difference in the price of the basic kit for each.
