I notice that when I use my Sigma 18-50 and take images in the 18-24mm ranges , DxO thinks it's a Sigma 11-24 and allows me to use the extra features, I know 11-24mm Sigma module is for a different lens but the "lens softness" for the 11-24mm sigma helps a lot with improving image sharpness on images taken with the Sigma 18-50 DC .

does anyone know of a tool that will allow you to change the lensID in the RAW file?, I would be interested in seeing what benefit , if any , I would get from DxO if I changed the LensID from my 50mm 1.7 (not support by DxO) to 50mm 1.4 (which is supported by DxO).

I would like to thank you all for your suggestions. The DNG conversion seems to work fine.

Does anyone have an opinion on which raw converter will give the best image quality for A900 raw files? Is the AVR as good, or nearly as good, as the best?

My pal has just bought Elements 5 and Lightroom (on my recommendation) one s/hand and the other sans outer packing for a total cost of £76 (online auction). I bought the Lightroom to cure bi-chromatic abberations and have stuck with Elements simply because I'm happy with it.
I have been told that I shouldn't be but... it works for me.
