Alpha 700 charging

Unread post by Lobo »

Does anyone know, for certain, whether or not it is safe to charge the A700 via a voltage inverter run from the car battery? I've recently come back from a camping trip and charging the batteries was a problem on some camp sites; charging from my car would therefor be an advantage, but not if it fries the batteries!

There are special car chargers if you feel uncertain about the use of an inverter :)

If your inverter puts out either a full sine wave or modified sine wave AC current then it will be fine for charging. The charger just converts it to DC and regulates the voltage.
