I’m not sure if the A900 is discontinued, it might be in some parts, but I looked for one on the web and came up with quite a few new ones for sale at varying prices so you can still get one if you want one, for now. http://www.shopbot.com.au/pp-sony-alpha ... 41586.html

according to a conversation I had with Paul Genge a few weeks ago, the a900 is discontinued. It is rumoured that it has made way for the "a99", a 36mp FF SLT, to be launched next spring.
XG-1, XD-5, XD-7, X-500, XG1n, X300, 7000i, 700si, 800si, 500si Super, 600si, Dynax 5, KM 7D, a100, a200, a300, a580. And another 600si.....

I just bought an A850 for a reasonable price.
