Re: A77
Gee, and there was me thinking this was a thread about the sony A77. Silly me
Seriously, if you want to talk about pentax, great, but why not start a new thread so those of us who don't care aren't hoodwinked into following the discussion.

The only thing decent about Kx is that it uses Sony's sensor. Other than that, it has nothing to do with Alpha, the topic of this board. Maybe he is already suffering from buyer's remorse and wants to justify his buying decisions on Sony forum. But this thread is clearly titled A77. Bakubo and Barry should at least start a new Kx thread dedicated to buyer's justification.mike2008 wrote:Gee, and there was me thinking this was a thread about the sony A77. Silly me

It turns out that OneGuyKs is the person who introduced the subject of what Barry switched to, which was Pentax, and even asked him about it. Hmmm. OneGuyKs introduced the subject and is now complaining about it. You know that old saying about being careful what you wish for?OneGuyKs wrote:They are entry-level cameras. They will sell better than A700 and K-5. Why on earth are you still waiting? You have been threatning to switch for 2 years. For more photographic based folks I'm still waiting for them to convey the "must have" appeal of the A33/55 range.
They still look like entry models (in fact worse than rivals in many areas) dressed up as a 2 trick pony (video AF and fps)

I asked him to make a switch instead of whining. I didn't ask him to continue posting about whatever he switches to.bakubo wrote: It turns out that OneGuyKs is the person who introduced the subject of what Barry switched to, which was Pentax, and even asked him about it. Re: A77
I quite agree the Samsung sensor at anything over base ISO is not good, my reason for my dropping Pentax also the K7 had “banding” problems and overheating on video, maybe they will be better now they are using the Sony sensor in the new K5, but the price would put me off , over £1000 for body only.
The Sony 580 is the same sensor as The Pentax K5 and the Nikon 7000D and both cost over £1000 in the UK.
I just bought my A-580 for well under £600 and I have bought a grip for it, not Sony but the same as the 550 same body, for £25 including postage also two spare batteries in that price.
