BF/FF test methodology

For readers here that do not normally visit Dyxum. I have posted on that site with a test of a problem I think I might have. I initially thought I had a BF/FF problem with my A700 especially with my Sony 50 1.4. Today I received a second A700 (Excellent condition floor model for $405). I thought a simple test of both camera and 1 lens tripod mounted shooting a tape measure on a table would be the final verdict. Well....now I have more questions than before.

Maybe try your test again but with diferent lighting. it looks like the colour cast you get from tungsten and might be causing a slight BF. the charts i've seen used for this have contrast lines that extend to the edge of the the frame too. I don't know if thats good or bad.
