Hey gang,
I'm using a Sony A200. I have a Sigma EF-500 Super and want to use wireless. I've figured out how to use it with the on-camera flash as the activator.
But what about the whole channel 1/2 part of wireless? Is the Sigma EF500 compatible, it can select the channel.
Any help is appreciated.

Re: Sony Alpha Wireless Flash Help
I have the same flash with A300s with the same problem and I gave up. I bought a Minolta 5600HS on Ebay. Great flash - more powerful.

Re: Sony Alpha Wireless Flash Help
The 500 Super DG is compatible, just set the camera to wireless flash in the menu, fit the EF 500 Super into the hot shoe, switch on the gun, then without turning it off, remove the gun. It is now ready for use off-camera. You do not need to select channels as the A200/300 etc only operate on Channel 1/Group 1.
Of course, if the EF 500 Super is not a Sony fit gun, but a similar wireless model left over from a Canon or Nikon kit, it is incompatible as the wireless protocol is different.
