Fooling around, not April 1st joke

Since my A900 was in the camera shop for sensor cleaning, I was playing with A700. These shots were taken with a Tamron1.4x converter, M42/MA converter, stacked with a M42Vivitar 2X converter, 12mm extension tube and Hanimex135/f2.8 lens. Handheld, no post processing, pop up flash was used during 5ishpm in the evening. All comments are welcome, as always.

The pictures are nice, and seem to have kept quite a bit of quality through all of those attachments...now have you got a picture of that rig?

Here it is. I lined up the mount with tile edge. The tile is 6 inches in length. Total length is about 8.75".

Hey---that's no 12 mm extension tube! That's a set of three extension tubes, with a total length of 65 - 70 mm. Replace the 135 mm lens with a 50 mm, and you'll get even more magnification.

The sharpness is rather poor in technical terms but does look very nice from a pictorial point of view ... almost painterly. And your sensor desperately needs a cleaning.

I went to Fry's to pick up the dual battery charger for $49.90 and played with some of their lenses. When I tried on the 100/2.8 Macro the salesman disappeared for 30 minutes, so I was left there fooling around, too. I'm afraid I haven't got much macro experience, and this abstract was the best thing I could come up with.

You are absolutely right. I was showing the whole rig and not the set up used to take the pictures. I misunderstood Kevin's request.
The image looks much sharper on my monitor even at 100% viewing. I am not sure if flickr is doing something to it. Yes, now it is the
turn of A700 to go to the shop for cleaning.
