Resoltion of the a900

I was lucky enough to go hot air ballooning yesterday on the Kent and Sussex borders setting off from Wadhurst and ending up south of Pembury.

This shot (a900 + 70-300ssm) is taken south of Tunbridge Wells towards Southborough ata distance of about 4.7 miles. When i got home i found that on blowing it it up i could easily distinguish my mum's house:-

Although due to the atmospherics its a bit blurred (notice the mist at top of original) and photographically its not a great shot, I thought you'd be interested in seeing the amazing detail the A900 records. Notice the goal posts partially obscured by the H!

I think that's pretty impressive! And if it weren't for the haze, it really would be decent IQ, I'd bet. Print that out and take it to your Mum, and I bet she'll get a kick out of it!
