Hi,
I hope someone can help me or point me in the right direction.
Having purchased an Aplha 700 a few weeks back I noticed some dust particle a week ago and so I entered the cleaning mode, removed the lens and used a puff blower to try and remove them. This worked for the majority though it's amazing how quick they comeback! However, 2 very dark particles are still there, and wont budge. I have followed this procedure many times with no luck.
Is there anything more I can do? Or anywhere I can take it for others to have a look?
Many thanks for your time.
Can't believe the sensor has so many dust particles already!
Regards,
Cenwyn.

Yes, use a sensor swab - or first, try the Arctic Butterfly brush from Visible Dust. It can lift particles which blowing won't shift. I just removed an annoying single particle from my A900 by blowing. I see there are a few very minor ones left but they are not in the usual sky area where they would show, so I am not doing any more cleaning.

Thank you David.
I will will make some purchases and give it a try. Do I need to be extra careful when applying either the swab or the brush?
I wish I had three hands when changing lenses!

Having used the arctic butterfly brush on both the A700 and A900, the best advice I can give is to follow the instructions to the letter. Using it in a shower cubicle, after having run the shower, helps keep any extra dust entering. However, on a couple of occasions I've had to follow the brush with a swab. Just don't push down when using either or you risk damaging the SSS mechanism.
