Did anyone ever get DRO to do anything on the A200-350 cameras?
I gave up on it long ago, it's looking very much like a nice sticker on the box, but in reality I see very little difference with either setting.
If Sony had given users a DRO +2 or 3 we might have something to talk about. As it is, I find the high and low modes on the 5d far more effective, obvious..and ultimately useful.

But do fire away if you have any examples to show...

I have just been looking at a whole series of fine A350 Jpegs returned by my wife. Some of the pictures were taken in dull conditions and DRO+ was on all the time. I must confess that I feel like Barry Fitzgerald that there appears to be no noticeable effect of DRO+ in brightening the dark areas. Not that I am bothered as the same effect (or better) can be achieved in PP using the Shadow/Highlight slider. Furthermore this slider gives you more overall control. I agree that Sony should either use the A700 type DRO or not bother at all.
