Several A55 questions

Unread post by edrice »

1) I've looked in an online manual and at reviews but don't see where the A55 is capable of time-lapse video. Does anyone know if it has that capability?

2) Is the battery charger the wall type, or does it have a cord?

3) When is David going to do a review? Or has he already done one and I missed it?

The charger can be adapted to wall use with an Apple plug or any kettle cord connector. I don't use the cable which came, I have a short one which is better. Time lapse would depend on a timer remote control, they are made and the A55 has a socket which will accept one; assembly of the video would need manual processing.

I have had my A55 for exactly one week, I have written my initial review but I am still learning. Web review will follow soon. First I must do another magazine review commissioned on the camera. Of course the Canon 60D arrived today, not even unpacked it. No time.

I have a Canon G9 which will do time-lapse but it's not HD. I was hoping to maybe get a step up from that.

Didn't mean to seem pushy on the review thing. I've read most all the major ones out there, but I always seem to glean some new insight from your treatments above what the others do. So take your time as my A55 arrives in a couple of days and I'm sure that will keep me busy enough.

Thanks,

Ed

Time Lapse is rally easy to do with Windows Movie maker or Apple i-whatever-movie bundle on the system.
It is a shame Sony does not provide at least a light version of Vegas with the new video-capable cameras (NEX-VG10 comes with Sony Studio HD 'Platinum")

Watch the front page. I need some time to write it. Every day I'm checking out different things.
