I've got an A580 on order. They have been in very short supply, Sony UK has just authorised dealers to split the body/lens kits in order to meet demand for bodies.

I have not seen one on the A-580, but I now have the A-550 and The A-580, did have an A-700, comparing all three I would say the 580 is one hell of a leap forward for Sony with the sensor technology, both the 700 and the and 550 are good but the resolving power of the 580 is perfect for me, wildlife, birds etc and macro.
I use a Sigma 100-300mmf4 and a Tamron 200-500mm for the longer shots and Sony 100mm f2.8 for my macro.

I don't have the A580 but I do have the Tamron 200-500 as well as the Sony 70-400G which I use mainly with an A900 or sometimes the A700.
Both are very good lenses but for my money I rate the Tamron 200-500 better than the heavier and more expensive Sony G lens, The Tammie is also better made IMHO and much easier to hand hold for natural history subjects. How do you find the auto focus of the A580 for wildlife subjects?
