A550 for $639 a deal?

My a700 is just about wore out...so im looking ffo a back up. Should I scoop up this camera or go $150 more and get a a580? THis is the kit with the 18-75 SAM lens.
Go for the 580. More MPs, better features, and it's not already 3 years old. If it was a question of $300-400 difference, then do the 550, but I've found out over the years it just doesn't pay to scrimp on a long term investment.
