Understand his position on all counts. Hopefully firmare 2.0 will address this - Sony has been told, directly, about the audio issue!

Video isn't a big deal for me, but it is for some people so I hope new firmware will sort out the problems and deficiencies. It is my understanding that Sony's stated main reason for going to DSLT was to do video "right" in their still/video cameras. Since Sony has so much more experience with video cameras than still cameras it is surprising that it is the video part that they seemed to have not implemented well and didn't seem to understand what people who make videos need and want.

The camera websites I usually look at don't talk about or test the video functions much so they naturally don't mention the shortcomings (or even know about them). I guess the website I linked to above (found the link in a dpreview post) seems to care more about video though.
