What I don’t get is why no popup flash on any Sony FF camera so far, that’s what turned me off the A900 and A850 (they did the same thing with the A99). Why should we have to buy an expensive flash just to park on top of the camera to make up for the missing popup?
It probably stems from the days that Canon didn’t have wireless flash and Minolta did, it took Canon many years to implement WL into their system and in the meantime it became an identifier that a ‘proper’ professional type camera didn’t have a popup flash.
Now it’s a convenient escape clause to not provide a popup flash for controlling WL on semi pro cameras but the camera didn’t get any cheaper because it had less functionality out of the box just the same, they seemed to gain value instead because they were now in the flash-less ‘pro’ class.

Some of the Nikon and Canon FF don't have popup.

David, which MD lenses are you using.
I might be interested in putting mine back into use.
I have four: 28mm f/2.8, 50mm f/1.4, 100mm f/2.5 & 200mmf/2.8.

Winston - 28mm f/2.8 (excellent), 50mm f/1.7, 200mm f/4.5 MC (surprisingly good) - so far. I also have a set of screw thread lenses and intend to try these too.
