What does extended iso range means?

Forgive my ignorance but I have a question regarding ISO 100 setting on A900.
I have always set my A900 to ISO 200, thinking that is the "natural" setting.
I am curious why ISO 100 is not recommended or seldom mentioned. I did a
search and could not find any answers.

It's fine. Technically, it is slightly overexposed and the tone curve is softened a bit to compensate. It makes it very good for portraiture.

Thank you. Can I leave it on instead of 200 or should I use it primarily for the portraits?

For the best performance set the A900 to ISO 160, and in low light switch to 320. These settings havce proved to give the best combination of analogue gain and digital processing.
